What is Duplex Party?
Duplex Party is a voice-based way to build with AI and follow the work as it changes. It presents Full-Duplex Code in a shared community VM, where you can speak with the AI, ask it to show what you are building, and direct what should happen next. The experience is for people who want to work through an idea conversationally while keeping both sides of an overlapping exchange available.
Duplex Party Features:
Voice-Driven Building: Work with AI by voice on an idea, then ask to see what you are building and give direction about what should happen next.
Full-Duplex Conversation: The Full-Duplex Code experience supports overlapping conversation, so both sides of an exchange can remain part of the interaction.
Shared Community VM: Try Full-Duplex Code on a shared community computer environment, without the product being presented only as a private local setup.
Changing Work View: Follow and understand the work as it changes, giving you a way to see what is happening while you talk with the AI.
Show the Work: Ask the AI to show you the work behind an idea, then use what you see to steer the conversation.
Microphone Turn: A ready turn can be accepted to switch on the microphone, making voice input part of the room-based workflow.
Duplex Party Benefits:
Stay With the Work: Voice interaction and a view of changing work help keep discussion connected to what is being built, rather than detached from it.
Keep Context: Having both sides of an overlapping exchange remain available makes it easier to follow what was said as the conversation develops.
Direct the Next Step: You can respond to what the AI shows and steer what happens next, keeping the process shaped by your judgment.
Try by Talking: A shared community VM offers a place to try voice-based AI building without first needing to describe the experience only in the abstract.
Use Cases:
Explore an Idea: Talk through an early idea with AI, ask it to show what is taking shape, and decide how you want to guide the work.
Review Work in Progress: Use the changing work view while discussing a project, so you can follow what is happening and steer the next move.
Try Voice Coding: Visit the shared community VM to try Full-Duplex Code and see whether speaking with AI fits your way of building.
Continue an Exchange: Use the room's retained conversation to keep track of both sides when speech overlaps, then continue directing the AI's work.
